Octopus Plays on North Beach

We see a lot of crabs and other sea creatures along the sands of Tenby (SW Wales). Octopus on the other hand, are a lot more rare to see. Emma Ryan, a Pembrokeshire local, was walking along North Beach during a low tide walk, when she bumped into this majestic and quite beautiful octopus.

Emma states that the octopus started to bury itself into the sand and was shifting it’s colour. A good tactic to avoid its prey! The good news is that it doesn’t seem like it got stranded. The waves were just starting to come back over it as Emma left.

Such a beautiful and rare treat.
